Celebrity private jets are often featured in profiles of the rich and famous. That’s especially true if the celebrity has a pilot license and a fleet of planes, like Tom Cruise and Harrison Ford. But with plenty of money at their disposal, which private jets do celebrities choose? We reveal all!

Dassault Falcon 7X

Purchase Price: 52.2 million USD new

Class: Ultra long-range jet

Maximum passengers: 19
The Dassault Falcon 7x was the first fly-by-wire business jet. With a design utilizing the company’s experience of building fighter planes capable of Mach 2, it’s known for its speed (maximum Mach 0.90). Perhaps that’s why it’s the private jet of choice for singer Taylor…Swift!

This bestseller of the Falcon range offers more than just speed, though. It has an impressive range of 5,950 nm (11,019 km), meaning it can fly non-stop from Paris to Tokyo or New York to Riyadh. Flights are very smooth, thanks to digital technology and the height at which the 7X can fly. The long, luxurious cabin has hi-tech amenities, private lavatories, a full-size galley, and advanced acoustic quieting (handy if you want to hear yourself sing).

Boeing 767-200ER

Purchase Price: Around 220.3 million USD new

Class: Long Range Airliner

Maximum passengers: 290

Rapper Drake’s aircraft is the biggest of the celebrity private jets on our list. In its original form, it would have room for not just his entourage but their extended families too! However, like many celebrities, Drake has customized his jet, sacrificing most of the seating to create luxurious spaces. Drake’s renovation has created an entertainment room and at least three private suites. His aircraft now only seats 30-45 people.

The ‘ER’ denotes extended range. This model has a range of 7280 nm and a top speed of 850 km/h, and was the first 767 to complete a nonstop transatlantic flight. It broke the flying distance record for a twinjet airliner in 1988, flying 8,727 nm (16,162 km) from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Port Louis, Mauritius.

Bombardier Global 7500

Purchase Price: 73 million USD new

Class: Ultra Long Range

Maximum passengers: 19

The Bombardier Global 7500 is one of the world’s largest and longest-range business jets. It has four luxurious living spaces, a full-size kitchen, and a dedicated crew suite. With a range of 7,700 nm (14,260 km) and a top speed of Mach 0.925 (982 km/h), it can transport owner TV star Kylie Jenner from continent to continent with speed and style. The 7500 is also known for its smooth ride and large windows, flooding the cabin with natural light. Kylie’s jet apparently also has neon lights in its custom pink interior!

Embraer ERJ-190-100

Purchase price: 51 million USD

Class: Regional Airliner

Maximum passengers: 114

Rapper Travis Scott’s private jet is the twin-engine Embraer ERJ-190-100. It has one of the most spacious interiors of any single-aisle aircraft. However, unlike his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, he hasn’t discussed the customizations he’s made to it.

With a range of only 2400 nm, it’s more suited for transcontinental trips, such as Paris to Moscow or Dallas to Bogota. With a cruise speed of 852 km/h, it can make those trips in excellent time. The engines are both efficient and quiet, so they shouldn’t disrupt the odd rap or two!

Gulfstream G650

Purchase price: 65 million USD

Class: Ultra long-range

Maximum passengers: 19

The Gulfstream G650 is the flagship of the Gulfstream fleet, so it’s an unsurprising choice for tech moguls Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. It has impressive speed (Mach 0.925 or 982 km/h) and range (7,000 nm), but its popularity isn’t just performance-driven. It also has an extremely spacious cabin that can seat 19 passengers. However, it’s typically configured to provide sleeping and/or relaxing space too, and seating for just 8 to 10. It has a galley, extra-large windows, and forward and aft lavatories for maximum comfort.

Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign

Purchase Price: 18 million USD new

Class: Super Midsize

Maximum passengers: 12

While not all the planes featured in Indiana Jones films were real, its leading actor Harrison Ford owns a very real Cessna Citation Sovereign (and seven other aircraft). It’s one of the fastest aircraft in its class, with a cruising speed of 826 km/h, and can land on short runways. The cabin can be cooled by the APU before the engine starts, and there’s a spacious bathroom and 180° swivel seats, ensuring a comfortable trip. With a range of 3188 nm, it’s ideal for state to state and cross-continent flights, and as a licensed pilot, Ford can fly it himself.

Cessna V 500

Purchase Price: 978,000 USD pre-owned (retired model)

Class: Light

Maximum passengers: 10

Professional footballer Sergio Ramos owns a Citation V, known for its generously-sized cabin. Its typical configuration for seven passengers provides plenty of space, allowing for reclining seats with lumbar support. Other features that add to the cabin’s comfort include triple glazing and soundproofing to reduce noise and a full private lavatory. The plane also can also maintain sea level pressure at an altitude of 23,586 feet.

Citation V’s short runway requirements open up more departure and landing points. Its range of 1837nmm and cruise speed of 795 km/h are impressive for a light jet and makes it ideal for transcontinental trips to smaller airports.

Embraer Legacy 650

Purchase Price: 30 million USD

Class: Large Jet

Maximum passengers: 14

With the largest baggage compartment in its class, which is accessible during flight, the Legacy 650 offers actor Jackie Chan plenty of room for his martial arts training equipment! And while Jackie is quite short, the 6’ cabin height is probably appreciated by his taller traveling companions.

The Legacy 650’s range of 3900 nm means intercontinental flights are no problem, and a cruise speed of 850 km/h ensures Jackie’s plane, like him, can move superfast!

Gulfstream G650ER

Purchase Price: 66.5 million USD

Class: Ultra-long Range

Maximum passengers: 16

Like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, Kim Kardashian also has a Gulfstream G650. However, she has the G650ER—extended range—model. Her jet can achieve the same speed (maximum Mach 0.925 or 925 km/h), but it has a longer range of 7,500 nm. In fact, the G650ER holds the record for the farthest fastest flight in business aviation history. But the cabin remains luxurious, bright, quiet and optimally pressurized, helping Kim arrive refreshed and ready for her day.

Kim’s G650ER was custom-built to her specifications over a year, at over double the cost of a standard model: 165 million USD.

Bombardier BD-700 Express

Purchase Price: From 10m USD (1999 model) to 13m USD (2005 model)

Class: Ultra-long Range

Maximum passengers: 19

The BD-700 Express is designed to fly long distances at high speed, with a maximum cruise speed of 935 km/h or Mach 0.88. The driving aim of its design was the capability to fly between any two points on the globe with only one refueling stop. Its long range of 6325 nm means it can fly nonstop between intercontinental destinations such as Sydney and Los Angeles. This must be an ideal feature for superstar singer Celine Dion when she is on tour., it can reach these far-flung destinations quickly too.

Dion’s BD-700 has private bathrooms, a full-size kitchen, a dining room, proper beds, and a study, and photographs show very generously sized luxurious seats. It’s safe to say she travels in style!

Syberjet SJ30

Purchase Price: 8.3 million USD

Class:  Light jet

Maximum passengers: 6

Actor Morgan Freeman seems to go forever and has boundless energy. Perhaps that’s because his private jet, a Syberjet SJ30, has sea-level pressurization up to 41,000 feet.  This plane is a far cry from most others on this list, though. It’s a fast, high-performance jet, capable of 882 km/h but it’s a small plane, seating just six people. It has none of the grandiose and lavish suites enjoyed by many other celebrities: it’s a workhorse, albeit a very comfortable one!

With a maximum 2,500 nm range, formidable for a light jet, the Syberjet SJ30 can fly Morgan non-stop from Los Angeles to New York or across the Atlantic. The plane was previously known as the Sino Swearingen SJ30.

Gulfstream V

Purchase Price: 43.1 million USD

Class:  Ultra-long range

Maximum passengers: 19

The Gulfstream V is the world's best-selling ultra-long range business jet, setting new climb, altitude, and time records in the first two months of its operation. It’s no surprise, then, that it’s popular with celebrities, including Lionel Messi, Mel Gibson, and comedian Jim Carrey.

Its range of 6750 nm means it can fly non-stop from Chicago to Tokyo or San Francisco to Buenos Aires, and it's famous for its reliability and performance. Even with a maximum payload, it still has a range of 5416 nm. It’s no slouch either, with a cruise speed of 941 km/h. The spacious 6'1" high cabin offers worktables, a fully galley, and separate crew and passenger lavatories, and there’s generous baggage space too.

Bombardier Challenger 850

Purchase Price: 30.2 million USD

Class: Large

Maximum passengers: 14

The Bombardier Challenger 850 only carries 14 passengers, so what makes it the private jet of choice for singer Jay-Z? Despite its limited seating, the 850 is a large jet. Its cabin is one of the largest and most versatile in its class, making it easy to customize it to personal taste and requirements. Jay-Z’s plane has a kitchen with a bar, a bedroom, two bathrooms with full-size bathtubs, and a living room.

With a maximum range of 2810 nm and a cruise speed of 851 km/h, the 850 provides a spacious and comfortable way to take a transcontinental trip.

Gulfstream IV

Purchase Price: For the base model, preowned prices vary from 3.5 million USD (1986 model) to 4.1 million USD (1992 model). The last iteration, the 450, ceased production in 2018 and sells for between 12.95-22.5 million to USD.

Class:  Large

Maximum passengers: 14

The Gulfstream IV is the most luxurious plane of the five in actor (and licensed pilot) Tom Cruise’s fleet. Its cabin is a comfortable 6’1” high and one of the longest in its class. This cabin, along with better range, noise reduction, fuel efficiency, and take-off capacity than its predecessors, makes the GIV an extremely popular model. Tom’s customisations to his Gulfstream include a jacuzzi and screening room.

With a range of 4100 nautical miles and an impressive cruising speed of 935 km/h, the Gulfstream IV makes intercontinental trips a breeze.

Bombardier Challenger 350

Purchase Price: from 20 to 26.7 million USD for 2018 – 2022 models

The Bombardier Challenger 350 is designed to climb quickly and efficiently—something the owner of this model, tech mogul Bill Gates, knows something about! The 350 is also known for its reliability and low maintenance costs.

The cabin is the largest and quietest in the super-midsize class, with a sleek and stylish finish and accessible baggage storage. With a cruising speed of 869 km/h and a maximum range of 3250 nm, it can take Bill from New York to London or Paris to Dubai in no time!
