Dundee is an industrial city and seaport located in eastern Scotland, on the north bank of the North Sea inlet known as the Firth of Tay. Dundee is the fourth populous city in Scotland, with a population of 152,320 as of 2011. It is the chief town of the historic county of Angus, and one of Scotland's 32 local government council areas. Dundee is about 37 miles (59 km) north of Edinburgh, 64 miles (104 km) northeast of Glasgow, and 57 miles (91km) south of Aberdeen.
