Avionics | Paramount Business Jets
Avionics are systems for use on aircraft, artificial satellites, and spacecraft, comprising communications, navigation, and the display and management of multiple systems. The cockpit of an aircraft is a major location for avionic equipment, including control, monitoring, communication, navigation, weather, and anti-collision systems. The Avionics Certification Process Improvement (CPI) focuses on special issues typically faced by applicants and the FAA during the avionics approval process and provides information regarding the most efficient path for various types of avionics approvals. The approval process may include either a Technical Standard Order (TSO), installation approval via Type Certificate (TC), or Supplemental Type Certificate (STC). The process varies depending on the applicability of TSO standards and issues that arise regarding the installation of the equipment.
