Valentine's Day on a Private Jet

In the social media clad world we live in, it’s getting harder to make a big impact on romantic occasions. Our Facebook feeds are awash with picturesque backdrops from friends’ travels, and you’re never far from somebody bragging about that special someone in their life complete with snaps of high-class restaurants at five-star venues. Luckily, there’s one trump card that will always top any romantic gesture: a private jet for two.

Show your special someone exactly what they mean to you by whisking them away on a private jet this Valentine’s Day. We’ve done the hard work for you, researching five of the best places to escape to on February 14th.

Paris

Paris at Night

Ah, Paris! If you’re looking for the epitome of romance, the City of Love has to be on your list. Known for fresh croissants, fine wine, and accomplished poetry, Paris is certainly one of Europe’s most romantic cities. Spend your evenings wandering the streets of the French capital, lose yourself in the unique atmosphere or spend your time experiencing the many sights. Given the occasion, a visit to the Pont des Arts is a must. Follow tradition by inscribing the names of you and your partner on a lock, then add it to more than a million locks already residing on the bridge before throwing the key into the water below in a symbolic gesture of eternal love. Visit the Eiffel Tower at night for the most romantic view, as it sparkles gold every hour on the hour for five minutes.

Paris is, of course, home to many of the world’s most highly revered restaurants. Experience three Michelin Star dining at the famous Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée, then retire in style to the Four Season Hotel George V.

London

London at Night

England has maintained its age-old reputation as the land of stiff upper lips and exquisite manners for some time now. Throw in the royal family, strawberries and cream, high tea and a distinct British charm and it’s easy to see why so many have fallen in love with Blighty. If you’re looking to visit, where better than England’s capital, with countless sights and hundreds of high-quality restaurants?

Mingle with London’s best and brightest at The Ritz, or get first-hand experience of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s most accomplished fare at the uninspiringly named yet highly regarded Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. For Valentine’s, though, it’s difficult to look past The Shard with its killer views of the capital’s skyline. When it’s time to rest your head you can’t go wrong with the Four Season Hotel London at Park Lane, enjoying the duality of a prime location and splendid service.

Milan

Milan at Night

Sitting alongside an elite group of international cities recognized as the fashion capitals of the world, Milan is not only an important city but a prestigious one that your partner is bound to adore. With so much jaw-dropping architecture it would be remiss not to mention the Duomo (or Milan Cathedral). This stunning piece of medieval architecture is located in Piazza del Duomo, and is not too far from Ristorante Tokuyoshi. The Michelin Star restaurant blends traditional Italian cuisine with Japanese influences for a mouth-watering combination from Head Chef Yoji Tokuyoshi himself.

With so many famous models and celebrities constantly stopping over in Milan it will come as no surprise that the extensive list of hotels in the city includes a number of top class venues. Our favourites include the five-star Mandarin Oriental and Park Hyatt Milan.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas at Night

The focus on Valentine’s Day frequently turns to showering ladies with gifts, but what about the men? Take the initiative and have a Valentine’s Day with a twist in gamblers’ paradise Las Vegas.

In actual fact, Las Vegas can actually be rather romantic. Take a gondola ride at the Venetian to encapsulate the spirit of Italy and get some much-needed alone time in a packed out city. Wrap up warm at night (it’s the desert, after all) and get a photo op at the Bellagio Fountains, the iconic water feature that has been the backdrop of countless Hollywood movies.

There are countless high-end restaurants from famous chefs around the world all situated in the heart of Las Vegas. If you can’t decide, try the French cuisine of Restaurant Guy Savoy. You’ll have a similarly difficult time trying to pinpoint the finest hotel in the area, but for the ultimate in privacy and luxury we love the five-star, AAA 5-Diamond-rated Skylofts at MGM Grand.

New York

New York at Night

Whisk your loved one away to New York and give them a Valentine’s Day they’ll never forget. The weather can be a little chilly around February but don’t let that deter you; wrap up warm and enjoy everything the city has to offer. From the breathtaking magnitude of the view from the top of the Empire State Building to the delicate intricacies of The Butterfly Conservatory, there’s no shortage of romantic wonderment to be had in the Big Apple. However, some of our favorite spots can be found from simply wandering around Central Park; check out Belvedere Castle and the Loeb Boathouse if you have the time.

Eleven Madison Park must be considered one of the best restaurants in all of New York and even uses local ingredients, adapting the classic New York City bagel with foie gras terrine. If you can’t book a place there, try Balthazar for a similarly exclusive experience but this time with American-French cuisine from Keith McNally. For a romantic stay, it’s an easy choice as far as we’re concerned; Gramercy Park Hotel is not only an incredibly luxurious venue in itself, but guests also receive keys to the only private park in the whole city. The perfect end to a perfect day.
