Block rates are discounts that are offered by chargers or other companies. They are, most of the time, available to those who purchase certain hours of aircraft rental in advance and use the hours towards aircraft rental only in the charter industry. The advantage is that it allows you to pre-purchase aircraft hours at exceptionally discounted rates. The more hours you pre-purchase, the greater the discounted rate.
