More about the Gulfstream G700

The Gulfstream G700 program was unveiled at NBAA-BACE in October 2019 as the successor to the G650 and a direct answer to customers who wanted more cabin space, greater range, and higher speed from Gulfstream's ultra-long-range platform. Development stretched through a global pandemic and one of the most extensive flight-test campaigns in Gulfstream history, culminating in FAA type certification on March 29, 2024, followed by the first two customer deliveries on April 23, 2024. The G700 shares the aerodynamic DNA of the G650 but stretches the fuselage by more than ten feet, introduces the clean-sheet Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engine, and pairs both with the award-winning Symmetry Flight Deck. Amenities featured on this aircraft include an all-new ultragalley with a dedicated crew rest area, a grand suite with a shower option, forward and aft lavatories, and a cabin that can be configured into as many as five distinct living areas.

The Gulfstream G700 features a redesigned high-speed wing and next-generation engines that reduce fuel burn and emissions while extending range and cruise speed, enabling smoother, quieter, and longer nonstop missions than any previous Gulfstream.

With a range of 7,750 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.935, the G700 is truly in a class all by itself. This high-flying aircraft is also in high demand. With a price tag of approximately $78 million USD, the wait time from order to delivery is 3+ years. Since entering the charter market in 2024, the number of G700S available for charter in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia has grown.

Key Features of the Gulfstream G700

The roomy cabin of the G700 measures 56.11 feet in length, reaches 6.3 feet in height, and stretches 8.2 feet in width, allowing for a total cabin volume of 2,603 cubic feet, the largest in the Gulfstream fleet. The cabin of the Gulfstream G700 features both sleeping and seating configurations. For maximum passenger accommodation, the cabin of this private business jet can be configured to seat up to 19. In a maximum sleeping passenger arrangement, the cabin may be configured to accommodate thirteen passengers across a grand suite and up to five distinct living areas. The baggage compartment offers 195 cubic feet of storage, providing plenty of room for your passengers' luggage. Twenty Gulfstream panoramic oval windows, the largest windows in business aviation at 28 inches by 20.5 inches, surround the cabin, flooding the interior with natural light and giving every seat a view.

At a cruising altitude of 41,000 feet, the Gulfstream G700 is capable of maintaining a cabin altitude of just 2,840 feet, the lowest in business aviation. In addition to this impressive capability, this private business jet replenishes 100 percent fresh, plasma-ionized air every two to three minutes for passenger comfort and wellness.

In addition to the extra-large oval windows, the G700 includes such luxurious amenities as an all-new ultragalley with stone countertops and dual convection ovens, an available master suite with a fixed bed and stand-up shower, and hand-finished wood inlays and stitched leather throughout.

The G700 also provides the latest in in-cabin technology. The touch-control cabin management system offers 4K Ultra HD monitors, high-fidelity audio zones, and wireless streaming to personal devices. Passengers can control lighting, temperature, window shades, entertainment, and flight information on a personal iPhone or iPad using the Gulfstream Cabin Experience app, available on the Apple App Store.

The G700's environmental control system delivers extra-high-pressure air, combined with the aircraft's whisper-quiet cabin, allowing passengers to feel as if they are breathing air at less than 3,000 feet, rather than the 8,000 feet of a typical business jet cabin. This results in passengers feeling less tired after flights and arriving at their destination refreshed, mentally alert, and ready to conquer the world. The G700's quiet cabin interior enables productive conversations and business meetings, even on the longest intercontinental flights.

Capabilities of the Gulfstream G700

The Gulfstream G700 is powered by two Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines. Each engine is rated for 18,250 pounds of takeoff thrust, delivering roughly 8 percent more power than the BR725 that powers the G650 while burning up to 5 percent less fuel. The range of the G700 spans an impressive 7,750 nautical miles, allowing for many destination options for your business venture. With a maximum certified altitude of 51,000 feet, the G700 is capable of delivering you to your destination while flying above most aviation traffic and weather.

The avionics suite utilized on the G700 is the award-winning Gulfstream Symmetry Flight Deck. Symmetry replaces conventional yokes with active-control sidesticks that electronically link both pilots, so each pilot can see and feel the other's inputs in real time. Ten touchscreen displays, phase-of-flight intelligence, and predictive checklists reduce pilot workload and startup time. The Combined Vision System (CVS) fuses Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) infrared imagery with Synthetic Vision terrain data on a dual head-up display, giving pilots a single fused view of the runway environment in low visibility and unlocking access to more airports around the world. As with the G650, the G700 is fly-by-wire, with redundant computer-controlled flight controls that filter out gust inputs for a smoother ride.

With a top speed of Mach 0.935, a 41,000 to 51,000-foot cruise altitude, and an impressive 7,750 nm range, the G700 can fly non-stop on such routes as New York to Hong Kong, Los Angeles to Sydney, London to Los Angeles, Dubai to New York, or Tokyo to New York. Even with these impressive performance figures, the amenity-laden cabin may be where this record-setter really shines. In G700s currently available for charter, the cabin accommodates between 13 and 19 passengers in handcrafted, swiveling, fully-reclining leather seats with footrests. In addition to the extra-large oval windows, the G700 includes such luxurious amenities as the industry's lowest cabin altitude to ease jet lag, an available stand-up shower, and hand-finished wood tables and trim. The G700 cabin is longer, taller, and wider than any other purpose-built business jet in service.
