IT Manager + Project Manager

Paramount Business Jets is looking for a competent person with great problem solving, troubleshooting, and project management skills. The position responsibilities will be distributed between technical project management (50%), marketing technology and projects (20%), technology management and support (10%), and cross-department coordination (20%).

This is a remote position for candidates based in the US only.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage external software development providers and ensure the products they build are as per the requirements and specifications laid out by PBJ.
  • Monitor the work and performance of external web development providers
  • Source and manage freelancers and other providers for one-time projects that are required from time to time.
  • Manage the team's requests for new features on the company's proprietary CRM.
  • Make decisions as to which feature requests make sense, how they will affect other parts of the system and other departments in the company.
  • Make decisions on whether requested features make financial sense to implement.
  • For features that are deemed to be worthy of building, create or modify a business process if required, and translate the process into technical specifications for the external software development teams to build.
  • Test the solutions developed to ensure they meet the requirements before they are deployed to production.
  • Experience with requirements gathering and applying to project and product development. Cross-Department coordination
  • Learn how to effectively use technology to improve cross-departmental work and processes.
  • Understand how changes in one area affect other departments and resolve issues.
  • Consistently work on using technology to improve efficiency in various business processes and communications.
  • Ensure documentation of various business processes in different departments is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Maintain documentation of internal technology tools and processes. Marketing Technology
  • Monitor Website Analytics and Search Console.
  • Help implement marketing tracking across the PBJ website for analytics purposes.
  • Manage marketing freelancers, writers, and their work for PBJ projects.
  • Support marketing manager with communications and providing marketing materials to partners and media.
  • Update the company website via the CMS when required.
  • Run automated tools regularly to check the health of the website and work with various teams to fix any issues.

Technology Management and Support

  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Learn all company tools and how they integrate with business processes.
  • Manage access to company tools and third-party services for new employees, existing employees, and external vendors.
  • Provide tech support to team members during office hours when needed, occasional after-hours tech assistance may be required from time to time.
  • Document all third-party tools used and who has access to them.
  • Manage the company Google Workspace accounts.
  • Monitor all third-party technology services in use by the company and interface with them for tech support when required.
  • Resolve tech issues for the team of about 15-20 (Windows, Mac, third-party tools used by the company).
  • Maintain security of company data and implement best practices to safeguard company information.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three to five years of demonstratable project management experience of websites and web applications.
  • Project management of $100K projects or higher
  • Good technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Strategists, UX/UI designers, developers, quality assurance analysts, SEO service providers, content developers, and other disciplines.
  • Knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Laravel knowledge preferred.
  • PMI-ACP/PMP certification preferred.
  • Honesty and Integrity are very important.

Skills/Knowledge Required

  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace (G Suite).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – at all levels within the organization.
  • Interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand the team needs.
  • High expertise with project management practices to manage external development teams.
  • SEO and digital marketing knowledge is a plus. If not, you will be required to learn the basics to be able to monitor the work of external vendors.
  • A good understanding of website performance optimization.
  • Travel, aviation, hospitality experience is a plus.
  • A strong willingness to learn new skills and technologies to get the job done.
  • A desire to help people in a collaborative manner.
