Tianjin, one of four municipalities, along with Shanghai, Beijing and Chongqing, is located in the northeast of the North China Plain. About 30 miles (48 km) inland from the Bohai Gulf off the Yellow Sea on China's east coast, Tianjin adjoins Beijing in the north and borders the province of Hebei in the west, east, and south, covering an area of 11,000 square miles (4,200 sq. km). Tianjin is served by Tianjin Binhai International Airport (TSN), which is located in Zhanggui Zhuang, Dongli District, about 8 miles (13 km) away from Tianjin's city center.
