Ajman is the smallest of the seven Emirates which form the United Arab Emirates, with an area of 100 square miles (260 sq. km.) The emirate of Ajman is situated on the coast of the Arabian Gulf, extending over a distance of 16 Km, between the two emirates of Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. In addition to the capital city of the same name, which lies on the shores of the Arabian Gulf, the emirate of Ajman has two major regions and towns - Masfout, an agricultural area in the southeastern mountainous portion of the emirate, and Manama in the eastern portion of the emirate.
