The 8.9 magnitude earthquake and tsunami that struck off the cost of Japan this Friday, has caused devastating damage and continues to wreck havoc on Japanese cities and farmland in the northern part of the country. While world leaders and foreign governments pledge to provide resources and aid to Japan, private companies such as Paramount Business Jets and One Concierge are also doing their part to prepare for evacuation efforts and assistance.

Although most major airports and sea ports remain currently closed and/or inaccessible, there is an increasing demand and backlog of both commercial aircraft and vessels that need to resume service to Japan as well aircraft and vessels that need to be mobilized to evacuate people. The Sendai airport among others, and all Japanese ports have been shut down following a barrage of waves that have turned runways to rivers and capsized large vessels in the Japanese ports.

Despite this, efforts are already well underway by both Paramount Business Jets and One Concierge to mobilize a large fleet of airliner aircraft as well as passenger ships and ferries to evacuate stranded residents, visitors, foreign personnel and more from the affected areas. “We’ve established a crisis response team to deal with the current situation and are working with local charter operators and our partners in the region to help us mobilize and evacuate people as conditions permit,” said Richard Zaher, Chief Executive Officer for Paramount Business Jets. One Concierge, a leading concierge provider has dealt with similar situations in the past and has assisted in evacuation efforts for natural disasters, civil unrest and other dangerous situations. “We are fortunate to be able to work with an outstanding global network of partners to help us aid in this situation. Their local knowledge and availability of resources (such as aircraft and ships) prove invaluable in circumstances such as these and enables us to quickly and efficiently extract people from the effected areas as ports and airports open again,” said Arman Motiwalla, Chief Executive Officer for One Concierge.

Although Japanese ports and airports remain currently closed, evacuation efforts and assistance to other effected regions such as Hawaii are also underway. In order to position these vessels effectively and to cater to evacuation efforts in both Hawaii, Japan and the west coast (if needed), aircraft and ships are going to have to be re-positioned to evacuate people in the affected regions, but limited availability of these vessels is putting a high demand on available resources.

Organizations, individuals and corporations looking to charter aircraft and/or ships for large scale evacuations and/or private charters from the effected regions should contact One Concierge at +1 (800) 628-9701 and/or Paramount Business Jets at +1 (877) 727-2538.

2. A reliable corporate jet charter is one that is available when you need it.

Paramount Business Jets provides excellent on-demand jet charter to meet your every charter need. Paramount acquires only the best services and products in the industry. You can expect a higher quality jet, better service and additional safety.

Becoming a Paramount Jet Card owner adds to your safety, comfort, competitive edge, time-savings, flexibility, convenience and cost savings and predictability. In other words, we provide total peace of mind.

Furthermore, at Paramount our carriers are not just part of a network. Each Paramount carrier is also an operator partner, so you receive uniform Paramount treatment no matter when or where you fly.

3. When it comes to your safety, two heads are better than one.

Paramount Business Jets requires our operator partners to provide two FAA-certified pilots on each flight. We also execute extensive background checks on all pilots that serve with the Paramount team.

The Pilot in Command (PIC) is required to have a minimum of 3,000 flight hours and recurrent training twice per year, for an average of 14 days, and be Airline Transportation Pilot (ATP) rated, so you can rest assured you are in experts’ hands each time you fly. We also restrict pilots to a maximum of 10 hours of flight time during a 14-hour tour of duty.

4. Safety also depends on operation guidelines, the condition of a jet and the quality of the equipment on board.

Paramount Business Jets demands that our operator partners provide jets that are an average age of 10 years, operate under FAA regulations for runway-length minimums and weather restrictions, supply historical safety ratings, and ensure aircraft quality with proper insurance commitments and documentation.

Our safety demands also include requiring that our operators conduct thorough inspections of aircrafts before boarding, verify photo identification of all passengers prior to boarding, and equip aircraft with the latest mandated safety instrumentation and avionic technology, including radar and traffic collision avoidance systems.

In addition, our operator partners undergo third-party safety verifications prior to each and every trip and must achieve a minimum of Gold Rating from the Aviation Research Group U.S. (ARG/US) or be Wyvern-approved operators.

5. Health and fitness should be maintained even while traveling.

Paramount Business Jets offers full gourmet menus on our flights that can be viewed ahead of time at www.paramountbusinessjets.com. We also offer day-spa services and a slew of other amenities to help you get to your destination feeling fit and healthy, ready to face whatever lies ahead of your travels.

6. Your business and obligations do not stop during travel time.

Paramount Business Jets realizes that your travel time is no less valuable than your time on the ground. That is why we offer amenities to accommodate any business needs you may have – including access to premium executive office suites, remote secretarial services, teleconferencing, videoconferencing and more – while experiencing the best in cost, convenience and comfort.

7. Travel does not end on the runway; it lasts until you’ve arrived at your destination.

Paramount Business Jets does not leave you hanging once you arrive at the airport. We provide complementary ground transportation service and help you get all the way to where you are going with the same comfort and safety you experience aboard your jet.

Paramount Business Jets is holding its first Aviation Writing Contest. Paramount executives chose nine contestants to face off in the competition by writing five-to-seven page papers about some of the most important aspects of the aviation industry.
Eight of the nine contestants are Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students and the other is a recent graduate of Arizona State University. Paramount chose them to compete based on their high levels of writing talent and interest in the aviation industry.
“These are some of the most eligible future aviation employees,” Paramount Chief Executive Richard Zaher said. “Each will be an asset to any aviation company looking for fresh talent. I highly recommend them and wish them all the very best.”
Four ERAU professors have volunteered to judge the entries and will evaluate them based on Content, Logic, Structure and Grammar and Mechanics.
“These judges will bring a sense of credibility to the contest that we could not otherwise achieve,” Zaher said. “We are grateful that they have volunteered to guide this competition.”
Paramount announces the winners on their Web site, www.paramountbusinessjets.com, March 11. All entries will be posted on the Web site, as well.

After their last trip to Congressional hearings in Washington, D.C., when chief executives of the “Big Three” U.S. automakers caught Congressional and media flak for bringing along their company-owned and/or leased business jets from Detroit, while begging for a $25 billion-bailout, one might assume they have learned their lesson.

But this week the CEOs are scheduled to appear before Congress again, and it seems no one knows exactly how they will get there.

The Detroit Free Press reported Nov. 27 that a caravan of fuel-efficient vehicles, planned since the first debacle, has been cancelled.

Furthermore, at least one of the automakers has taken steps to hide its jets from online tracking Web sites, so the public does not know when and where their jets are going. But as Jalopnik.com – an organization that writes commentary on automakers – states, the lack of transparency is sure to backfire further on the automakers.

“You certainly don’t need to be making moves easily perceived by the public as hiding information, and this can very easily be perceived as such,” Jalopnik states in its commentary.

No matter how automaker executives plan to get to D.C. this time around, couldn’t one argue that much of their PR woes in this instance might have been avoided if they had simply chartered executive jets?

With a changing economy comes changing lines of scrutiny by public audiences and consumers who are struggling to make ends meet. Their views of luxuries such as private jets are an economic slap in the face.

But if you can afford it, and your business and travel needs require comfortable, safe and reliable travel, why deny yourself?

With private jet charter, one can still have all perks without the stigma or the waste that comes with full or fractional ownership, such as maintenance and storage.

Many business jet charter companies offer everything, from gourmet in-flight dining, telecommunications and other business services, to massages and other special comforts.

Most also offer instant quotes online with on-demand service that allows flights to be arranged in hours.

For added convenience, there are membership programs that create pay-as-you-go plans and increased benefits such as added luxury ground transportation.

With the shaky economic landscape, executive jet charter can not only save you face, but it can cut your own business costs and help increase your bottom line.

When it comes to choosing a business jet charter broker to fly privately with, there are a few things to keep in mind. All jet charter brokers have access to the same jets and systems. There are a few key sites in the industry that cater to the business jet charter brokerage industry. Some of these sites require membership dues while some are free. These sites and the advancement of web technology make a broker’s job much easier. That is not to say that all brokers are the same by any means. What differentiates brokers is the human factors and the people who run the operations. There are three main ingredients to a smart charter such as safety, flexibility and cost.

In regards to safety; There are two main companies that do third party safety verifications, namely ARG/US and WYVERN. These companies evaluate the operators, the aircrafts, and the pilots per given trip to make sure that they are FAA part 135 compliant. ARG/US and WYVERN have raised the bar on the transparency of safety standards in the business jet charter industry. Operators are motivated to achieve a higher safety rating. Some ratings require an on site audit and some don’t, but both require the verification which proves the pilots, the aircraft and the operator to be airworthy and part 135 compliant.

Flexibility is important since executive jet travelers want the luxury of being able to choose their jet size based on the number people flying with them. There are different categories of jets such as light jets, mid-size jets, and heavy jets. Some trips may require a smaller jet which translate into cost savings while some may require a larger jet which may also translate into cost savings and comfort depending on the number of people traveling and the distance for the trip. It is always nice to have the flexibility of taking your money out without penalty charges or other financial losses. Generally, business jet ownership offers optimum control over a specific jet. Alternative methods of flying privately are introduced to the jet market to combat the high costs that are associated with jet ownership.  The terms private jet, corporate jet, business jet, executive jet, and jet charter are used interchangeably. Some jets and services are more suited for the business clientele but generally they all mean the same thing.

Last but not least is the cost factor; Since the introduction of the private jet charter in the early 1960’s people have been seeking more cost effective methods of flying privately. In 1986 Richard Santulli of Netjets introduced the concept of fractional ownership, which divided the cost of a business jet by up to sixteen people.  Fractional ownership requires a large upfront investment and the hourly rates are still very high in comparison to the latest model of flying privately. The innovation of the internet gave birth to the growth and effectiveness of business jet brokerage companies. For the first time we are able to track all jets and their locations. We now know where the operators are worldwide, which jets they have, and what the safety ratings the jets and the pilots have. For the first time we are able to find an empty leg that we never knew existed in the past. Currently, the most cost effective option to flying privately is  the on-demand charter and the jet card membership programs.

At Paramount we encourage fractional owners to fly with us and use their expensive fractional hours as a back up.

The key is to enjoy the benefits of business jet ownership and fractional ownership without being responsible for the cost that is associated with these models. In addition to cost savings and safety, Paramount offers additional flexibility. It is most important to find a jet brokerage company that is safety oriented, reliable, and cares about exceeding the client’s expectations each and every trip.

How to Avoid Jet Lag
by Paramount Business Jets

Learning how to avoid jet lag is a major concern for a lot of business jet travelers who spend a majority of their time aboard executive jets, constantly crossing time zone.  It is instrumental for you to know how to avoid jet lag, so that you may be at your best when you get off your executive jet to attend your next important business meeting or business merger.  Here are a few tips on how to have no jet lag.

Effects of jet lag can vary from person to person. So it is important to first become aware of the change in your body as you cross over international time zones before you can come up with ways to battle jet lag.

Effects of jet lag relating to symptoms such as headache, insomnia, dizziness , irritation, disorientation and fatigue can be avoided by re adjusting your body’s internal clock, call the circadian rhythms which controls your body’s day and night cycles.  When you cross international lines your body’s internal clock goes into shock.

To reduce effects of jet lag on your body you must reset the internal clock of your body to the time zone of your place of arrival, much like the watch on your wrist.  The earlier you adjust your internal clock to the new City the sooner you will rid yourself of the lingering effects of jet lag.  Re adjusts your sleep cycle a few days in advance or during your flight so that it can adapt easily to the new destination point.  The goal is to shift the gears of your internal clock so that it can follow the new pattern of day and night.

Effects of jet lag relating to symptoms such as dehydration, upset stomach, loss of appetite, diarrhea and constipation can be eliminated by readjusting your body’s intake of food.  In order to avoid jet lag symptoms related to your digestive system, you must pay close attention to the times you eat and what you eat. To avoid effects of jet lag relating to your digestive system, prepare your body by readjusting your intake of food a few days before the day of travel.  Eating salads and fruits and yogurt a few days before your departure is a good way to avoid jet lag effects on your digestive system. Breaking your normal cycle of eating, and slowly introducing your body to the new cycle of your place of arrival is the key to fighting jet lag symptoms mentioned above.

Again think of your body as a machine that needs to be readjusted slowly to the new environment, just like shifting the gears manually in a car.  You must shift your gears slowly to adjust to the new destination thru readjusting your sleep time and intake of meal slowly so that by the time you step out of your executive jet to go to your next merger your mind and body are not lagging behind in a different time zone trying to catch up with you.

If you follow a special diet and or on medications make sure that you inform your executive jet broker in advance of your special needs.  Special care can be taken to make sure that you arrive to your new destination fresh and in good health with no jet lag.  Paramount Business Jets offers in-flight menu to serve the needs of executive jet travelers. Be gentle to the needs of your body and your mind.  To be successful in your business and conquer the world you must be the master of your own body first. Take care and have a good flight!

Finding Great Deals on Jet Charter
by Paramount Business Jets

Wondering how to find great deals for a jet charter? Here are some things to keep in mind as you search to find your jet charter.  Be aware of deals that sound too good to be true.  If the prices are too low, there is a reason.  Most likely the jets are very old and your safety may be compromised.  Typically, chartering a jet can cost anywhere from 1700/hr to 8500/hr, depending whether it is a small, mid-size, or large jet that you want to charter.

Once you find a few reputable jet brokerage firms, it is time to study the kind of deals they are offering. Many jet brokerage companies are offering what they call a Jet Card.  With a Jet Card, you are buying a lump sum of hours.  Once the hours expire, you renew the card by buying more hours. This is a good deal for those who fly frequently and want to get a great deal.  Becoming a member with a jet brokerage company can also give you special perks like complimentary ground transportation, meals and much more.

Most of the jet brokerage companies offer a “pay per flight” or “on-demand charter”.  This option gives you the flexibility to pay only for the hours you fly.  There is a two hour per day minimum requirement, should you wish to keep the jet overnight.  Simply locate the companies that are making this offer, fill out the quote request form and compare their prices.  Make sure you know about any additional charges and always request “for an all inclusive hard quote.”

Finding a jet charter brokerage company that works with multiple operators is a great way of finding good deals, because they can shop the trip and get lots of operators to compete for the same quote, therefore finding you a great deal.  There are great deals out there but the trick is to find a reliable company that will give you personal attention and can offer you quality service with a strong commitment to safety.  Saving a few bucks and jeopardizing your life in the hands of an uncertified pilot or an uncertified plane can have disastrous results. So do your homework and ask the right questions. Choose wisely, and enjoy your private jet flight!

Paramount Business Jets is committed to safety, quality and personalized care of jet clients.  All Paramount Business Jets operates under FAA Part 135 and are WYVERN and ARG/US approved.  Please visit ParamountBusinessJets.com to get an Instant Quote Now!

Jet Charter management
by Paramount Business Jets

Some of the first jet charter management companies opened up in early 1960’s, shortly after world war two when the market was flooded with a surplus of aircrafts.

Jet Charter management became popular because the owners realized that it was much more cost effective to hire a jet management company to manage their jet.

Owning a multi-million dollar jet was costly, especially when it sat on the ground and wasn’t being used. A jet charter management company was a perfect solution; their operators would manage the jet and its scheduling and rent it by the hour to other clients when it wasn’t being used by its owner.

In the mid 80’s a new model of jet ownership was introduced to the jet charter management market. Multiple owners could own one jet and have the same privileges of whole ownership. This new model is termed, “fractional ownership.” This model is much like timeshare with homes.

Today, with the advent of internet it is a lot easier for jet charter management companies, jet operators and jet brokers to communicate with each other like never before. This advantage has given birth to the newest model for traveling on a private jet today and that is “the jet card”.

You as an individual do not have to own or buy a jet, or be even fractional owner. You can simply buy a Jet Card, which will allow you to fly certain hours on a given jet.

All you have to do is call a jet charter brokerage company like Paramount Business Jets, who has access to jet charter companies and operators all over the world. The executive jet charter management team at Paramount Business jets will find jets based on your traveling need. This is the most cost effective and hassle free way of flying privately today.

Today the jet charter management companies have access to over 11000 jets that are available for charter worldwide. These numbers are projected to double in the next decade, so we are sure to see many more innovative ways to explore the skies!

Private Jets are the hottest commodities in Aviation industry these days. Despite surging high oil prices, business jet sales are seeing a boom in the recent years. Most experts say they expect these numbers to double over the next decade.

Most of these private jets, executive jets and luxury jets can have a price range starting at $3 million and going up to $40 million each. But the real question is who is buying these private jets? According to the most recent survey, more than half of these private jets are sold to people outside the United States, to places like the Middle East, which is seeing an 18 percent annual growth rate in their region, compared to the global average of 10 percent.

The other two new hot markets for selling luxury jets are Russia and Asia. The recent economical boom in these regions is seeing a shift in the market for buyers of luxury jets with 70-30 in favor of the international market.
