Paramount doubles down on carbon offset
by The Paramount Team

Private charter is the choice of millions of travelers around the world. No long lines, no cramped and overcrowded commercial aircraft, and a list of options of on-board amenities and services that may only be limited by the imagination are just some of the reasons charter travelers just keep coming back.

But Paramount Business Jets has taken its repertoire of services even further by considering the impact each flight makes on the environment. Carbon dioxide, or CO2, is a byproduct of every flight, as well as driving and powering our homes and businesses. Paramount has teamed up with Terrapass, a leading carbon management provider, to offer our clients the option to purchase carbon offsets for their trips.

The way carbon offset works is that the amount of CO2 emissions generated by flights are calculated, and the traveler buys “carbon credits” based on those emissions. Terrapass then takes the money and invests it into projects and companies that produce farm power, landfill gas capture and wind energy.

The best part about carbon offset – besides its positive impact – is that it’s actually pretty cheap. In fact, Paramount is now matching the carbon offset of each client who chooses to participate, meaning the environmentally conscientious charter flier can actually offset twice the emissions for the low price of just one flight’s worth.

One of the reasons so many people fly private charter is a peace of mind not available on commercial airlines. What better way to add peace of mind than knowing you paid a small price to undo double your carbon footprint?
