Paramount Business Jets is holding its first Aviation Writing Contest. Paramount executives chose nine contestants to face off in the competition by writing five-to-seven page papers about some of the most important aspects of the aviation industry.
Eight of the nine contestants are Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students and the other is a recent graduate of Arizona State University. Paramount chose them to compete based on their high levels of writing talent and interest in the aviation industry.
“These are some of the most eligible future aviation employees,” Paramount Chief Executive Richard Zaher said. “Each will be an asset to any aviation company looking for fresh talent. I highly recommend them and wish them all the very best.”
Four ERAU professors have volunteered to judge the entries and will evaluate them based on Content, Logic, Structure and Grammar and Mechanics.
“These judges will bring a sense of credibility to the contest that we could not otherwise achieve,” Zaher said. “We are grateful that they have volunteered to guide this competition.”
Paramount announces the winners on their Web site, www.paramountbusinessjets.com, March 11. All entries will be posted on the Web site, as well.
